U-Link serves our socio-economic partners.

It's name is a play on the "U" of University and "you", the corporate partners. Its goal is to foster a lasting connection that is beneficial to all.

This service is a hub that facilitates and promotes skills within the University of Lille. It generates contacts, opportunities and partnerships with companies.

U-Link is there to help, but it does not replace existing activities. This department complements actions and projects by providing support to other services, labs and units.


It is a unique department because it is proactive in two areas:

  • it takes innovative and unifying action;
  • it reaches beyond the university to meet current and future partners (promotion, prospecting, development, etc.).

Our team listens closely to your needs in order to effectively implement your project. Our collaborative methods helps us to forge strong and lasting bonds with local, national and international companies, reflecting the needs of the market. As such, we can implement the resources necessary to help you benefit from our research, teaching and/or recruitment possibilities.

Building your project together

Are you an SME or partner with a specific project or need in mind? We can provide practical support. We strive to simplify things for you. From the first time you get in touch, a single member of the team will be your point of contact. They will help you identify the relevant contacts for your project. From the very beginning, they will also help you estimate how long it will take tocomplete it. At the same time, we will foster a dialogue so that everyone can express their needs and problems, and propose solutions.

As soon as a potential collaboration is identified, a contract will be drawn up, setting out the commitments of each party, the potential financial contribution from the company, and elements concerning access to and sharing of existing or jointly created intellectual property.

  • Support for an entrepreneurial project;
  • Payment of apprenticeship tax; 
  • Solidarity programmes; 
  • Missions entrusted to a junior company;
  • Participation in the "AVENIR" think tank; 
  • Handovers and exchanges.


Sponsoring and mentoring

Sponsorship or mentoring (time, knowledge, skills, network, funding) allows you to improve your visibility and promote your structure as part of a "win-win" partnership with the University of Lille. This visibility or showcasing can take different forms: your logo on various media, a chance to speak at a sponsored event, etc.
